Designer: michael korsinspiration: like a mountain dream, with the idea of wooden chalets in the background, while staying in a city, in the heart of new york, in the finance district on wall street. the singer orville peck performed at the show that always celebrates elegant and powerful women. collection: it’s about warmth, softness and comfort. the women, as much as the men, wrap up in sublime capes with different textures and materials. knitwear is also part of the attractive proposals, with large jumper scarves worn with pleated skirts in iridescent tones. we like the “blanket” dresses ending in fringes at the bottom and the straight jackets and coats which are so chic. the touches of gold and sequins aren’t lacking in appeal, also taking on a cape effect on some sheath dresses.to note: the casting is still as impressive, with women of all ages and some of the top models, bella hadid, kaia gerber, mica arganaraz, freja beha erichsen …interview with michael kors:it’s about cosiness, things that you sort of put on and you feel protected and secure that a lot of people associate with the countryside or the mountains, so wonderful knitwear, hand-knit, looser shapes, longer silhouettes, and a lot of incredible coats, ponchos and capes, things that move.so i wanted to have this cosiness combined with this sort of polish that i think works for a city and comfort, you know everyone in the world, americans were the first people to wear very casual clothes, now the world has gotten too casual, now it’s sort of like a disease and i think we have to find a way for people not to give up comfort but to feel dressed again.now we see there are no boarders, i think we all are influenced by each other, over my career now i’ve worked in paris at celine, i’ve worked in tokyo with onward kashiyama, i’ve travelled the world and we see that fashion is much more global, there are no rules anymore about how you dress for your age, when i started there was that, we have models in this show who are 17 and we have models in this show who are 48, size is finished, you should look great if you’re a size 2 or a size 12, it shouldn’t matter. music from the show (to use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information)
