Richard Quinn - Women's Spring/Summer 2020 collection in London (with interviews)
Designer: richard quinninspiration: a magical world of fantasies… that’s what the english designer wanted in his new collection by inviting the “bach” choir and the philharmonic orchestra to come and celebrate his way of seeing fashion as joyful and powerful.collection: volumes and colours. the designer plays with lengths and textures, adding tulle in order to make a dress become like a snowball, another slips along the body and ends with a train. black vinyl worn as tights and under jumpers counterbalance the romantic side. flowers emerge and decorate the outfits whilst embroidery and sequins emphasise the theatrical aspect of these dresses. richard quinn knows perfectly how to calm things down, like using the look of erin o’conner in a fluid monochrome pink dress.to note: the final picture of bridal designs, little girls almost hidden under their feather hoods, and all who come to pose on the stage among flowery trees, dressed in white and silver dresses, seem to announce a wedding line for richard quinn?with interviews:billy porter: opulence! magnificence! blew my mind! blew my entire mind and i need every piece right now! i love fashion period. london fashion week is my new favourite. everybody is so nice and kind.richard quinn:it should be not theatre because obviously the clothes are based in reality as well and that is my reality and that is what i want things to look like and filter down and people to wear. i just want to give people something to look at and something to actually enjoy. we wanted to have that kind of erotic, kind of emotion, all mixed within one, like a variety of different things. i don’t want it to be too pretty, i want it to be quite twisted and dark in a way so that kind of allowed us to do that. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
