Stéphane Rolland - Haute Couture autumn/winter 2019/20 show in Paris (with interviews)

Designer: Stéphane Rolland Place: The Opera Garnier in ParisInspiration: Imperial China and the Forbidden City, for colours and dresses with kimono sleevesCollection: Sculptural dresses, elongated silhouettes, and the work around a pure and refined couture. Shoulders and waists highlighted by two-toned embroideries. With a presence of sensuality, which is expressed through plunging necklines and high slits. Focus on a pleated dress, an asymmetric jumpsuit, a tunic with geometric patterns, draped bustiers and others completely embroidered with pearls and jewellery added to the models. With interviews from:Stéphane Rolland:Obviously, the opera represents a lot to me. It has such a rich history and it is such a magical place with such an incredible story. It is about everything that I could bring back from my trip to China, where I was lucky enough to be warmly welcomed and I visited the most secret places. I brought it to Paris and started to create a collection with all these images in my head.Iris Mittenaere:What I like about Stephane is that all of his volumes are perfectly mastered. The colours, which are ultimately quite sober, the cuts, which are as pure as they are wild.Sofia Essaïdi:I find that this collection is majestic. Even more than usual. Because it really is the word that I use each time that I do a Stephane Rolland show, but this time, I find that there is still something more. There is his classicism as usual but there is audacity, even more than usual, these drapes, this oriental but very modern side. I really am very impressed by the work that he has realized this time.Show music (only use in the context of the show, covered by the right to information)
