Viktor & Rolf Spring Summer Women Collection 2013 in Paris (itw)

For Spring-Summer 2013, the Dutch duo Viktor & Rolf offer a sophisticated wardrobe inspired by the fashion from Hollywood cinema and the icons. Dresses dominate the collection and display their versatility. Belted waists and shoulders are highlighted by a long silhouette. Knots, a decorative element and emblematic of the house are found on trousers, skirts or blouses. Materials such as tulle, lace and silk satin add a touch of lightness and romance. And for the evening, embroidery of tiny mirrors appears on mesh dresses and brings a touch of modernity and a resolutely glamorous effect.

Interview Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren :Clean glamour was the message we wanted to give.

We really like Hollywood glamour but we wanted to turn it into our own language so doing different things with tulle and drapery, mirrors.

Transparency is important and fluidity but at the same time it should be sharp and clean.

It started with the idea to turn a mirror into embroidery, because we wanted to make a new kind of embroidery for a modern wardrobe.
