Yohji Yamamoto : Men's show Autumn/Winter 2018/19

Designer: Yohji YamamotoInspiration : The Japanese designer always expresses himself with poetry and elegance in his collections that he presents, at his studio, in the heart of Paris, with strong men jostling each other, daring each other, all while continuing their walk with a still attitude, strong and soft at the same time.Collection: Long coats, fluid, almost airy in their neutral tones based around navy, grey and black. Tunics or long shirts, even becoming dresses, appear as a leitmotif in this collection. Certain outfits are almost like saris, enveloping and protective. A passionate red for several looks and prints of landscapes, architecture, Japanese words and even a portrait of the designer on a coat or a shirt. Sublime knitwear, creating big jumpers and skirts. To note: Leather sleeves added to certain jackets like armour + the fluid black suits with lines of small black buttons, very elegant + the song ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon accompanies this presentation.
