The year 2015 has been filled with events that have created a buzz.First of all celebrating many anniversaries.A 50 year-long love story between Karl Lagerfeld and Fendi. Givenchy played the emotional card at New York fashion week for a show remembering the 11th September events and celebrating 10 years of fashion for Riccardo Tisci’s house.The labels don’t only catwalk. They exhibit. A fusing coalition between fashion and art in 2015: Jean Paul Gaultier with his ‘rue aux étoiles’, celebrated his creative talent with his loyal friends. In Seoul, the futuristic building of Zaha Hadid hosted the exhibition Esprit Dior. In London at the Saatchi Gallery, CHANEL launched, in the presence of Karl Lagerfeld, the exhibition ‘Mademoiselle Privé’ following an historic journey to the roots of when the house was created. Ditto at Louis Vuitton with its exhibition constructed as a journey starting from the beginning.The Croisière collections are now an unmissable rendez-vous, often presented in exceptional places and far away destinations.Bob Hope’s incredible villa in Palm Springs for Louis Vuitton or Pierre Cardin’s Palais Bulle on the hights Cannes beach for Dior. The Valentino house opts for the beauty of their very own country Rome for a spectacular show. The collaborations, the capsule collections, have never been so many and have never generated such a hype like the last one to date, that of Balmain and H&M, or that of Carine Roitfeld for Uniqlo, not to mention Kanye West for Adidas. Other striking images mark the year and have not failed to stir up the fashion world. Unusual wears from Rick Owens… And men with their bits hanging out. Others stand out with wild creativity, like the image of Hood By Air’s men, which wasn’t afraid of surprising us.
